Kirtan & Katha for Mahashivratri – Stories & Songs about Lord Shiva and Parvati With Charu Ramesh & Vaishali Lyer
Mahashivratri is the night that Lord Shiva attains perfect stillness in meditation and oneness with his abode, Mount Kailash. This symbolises the union of the spiritual, in the form of divine energy, and the material, in the form of the energy of the earth. Join us to explore and celebrate the many forms and aspects of Lord Shiva: cosmic destroyer, husband, father, ascetic, dancer, yogi and teacher. Through songs and stories we will discover how Lord Shiva bridges contrasting and often contradictory roles, embodying the divine and the human, samsara and nirvana, simultaneously.
