When it comes to live concerts in Singapore, they don’t get as big as this. It’s a dream come true as this legendary band returns to Singapore
Looks like the live music scene in Singapore just turned it up to 11. After a series of big concert announcements – from Ed Sheeran to Foo Fighters – we’re still not quite done yet. Making their big return to Singapore, progressive metal legends, Dream Theater, will be performing live in Singapore on 3 October – and in the spanking new music venue, Zepp@Bigbox.
The band has been around from 1985, and is undeniably a pioneer and torchbearer of the progressive metal sound – a fusion of the unhinged energy from heavy metal and the amplified, guitar-driven style of classic rock. Dream Theater has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and remains on the upper echelons of rock musicians.
They will be in Singapore as part of their extensive Images, Words & Beyond Tour, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their milestone second album. In fact, they’ll be performing the album in its entirety and, of course, will be throwing in some bonus tracks from the band’s vast catalogue of songs.
Venue-wise, we’re quite curious to check out Zepp@Bigbox – the first branded concert hall outside of Japan (Zepp concert halls are a big thing in Japan)! So prep up for October; it’s time to rock out.
Dream Theater, Images, Words & Beyond 25th Anniversary Tour, 3 Oct, Zepp@Bigbox, 1 Venture Avenue, Singapore 608521. Keep track of ticket information here.
