Lavo from Las Vegas and New York is now opened at Marina Bay Sands
Marina Bay Sands is cranking up the swank with its newest addition to the nightlife and food and drinks scene in Singapore. Joining CÉ LA VI Singapore – another rooftop restaurant, bar, and club perched atop MBS – is this ritzy import all the way from New York and Las Vegas, and it looks ready to set the club scene in Singapore ablaze real soon.
This spankin’ new establishment is being roped in by TAO Group, which also boasts other VIP-suited, high-flying locales such as Marquee in Sydney and Las Vegas – the latter voted #30 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs list. Lavo Singapore will join the roster of its Vegas and NYC counterparts with not just a star-powered lineup of DJs (it’s hosted past headliners like Nervo, Benny Benassi, and Tiësto), but also a bar, indoor/alfresco lounge, and a restaurant dishing out Italian-America cuisine helmed by Chef Ralph Scamardella, who’s cooked for his fair share of celebrities (psst… actor-singer Jamie Foxx got the party started at its New Year’s Eve grand opening).
The restaurant will be opened to the public on 8 January. Starting with dinner service, plans for lunch and brunch are underway and will be made available — fingers crossed — soon. Indulge in signature dishes such as ‘The Meatball’ made with one pound of fresh ground wagyu beef and Italian sausage, served with fresh whipped ricotta, as well as the Lavo Espresso Martini. Appetisers start from $16 and mains from $25.
We’d recommend you to stay if you’re up to keep the night alive as the 57th-floor restaurant transforms into an energetic nightclub. Equipped with a DJ booth in between the lounge and dining area, guests can enjoy live DJ sets on either side. However, expect the night to get louder as the lights start to strobe. Feeling spunky? We dare you to dance on the dining tables and banquettes just like they do in New York!
Speaking of The Big Apple, the interiors feature off-white subway tiles and plush Italian leather booths which mirror its New York and Las Vegas counterparts. What you can’t get elsewhere though, is its floor-to-ceiling windows which offer a panoramic view of the Singapore skyline. Can’t get enough of the city landscape? Step out to its open-air terrace and bar area for some fresh air, handmade cocktails and more breathtaking views.
