Add a little Mexican heat to your weekend brunch routine with breakfast burritos, chilaquiles, and pulled pork tortas at Super Loco in Robertson Quay
We’re all familiar with the classic brunch dishes – eggs Benedict, French toast, waffles, and pancakes. Now we love these classics, but sometimes, we crave a little something different. And this week, we’ve got a hankering for a brunchy Mexican feast at Super Loco.
Super Loco’s Mexican brunch, available from 10.30am ’til 3.30pm on weekends, is a showcase of popular Mexican breakfast dishes – both traditional and contemporary. If you’re saving space for a gut-busting brunch, set your sights on the ‘Breakfast Grande’ section of the menu that features a Mexican take on eggs Benedict with poached eggs on toasted muffins topped with pork carnitas, chipotle hollandaise, and pickles and onions. Need to slay a hangover? Opt for the Super Huevos Rancheros – cheese quesadilla served with baked black beans, sunny-side-up eggs, tomato salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
Also on the menu are lighter options like the avocado toast, esquites (grilled corn kernals with cotija cheese, lime mayo, and chilli), and the AÁaì Super Bowl with mango, blueberries, coconut, quinoa, chia, and granola.
While mimosas are part and parcel of any elevated brunch, Super Loco, instead, offers a lineup of boozy Mexican bevvies to complement your meal. Try the Lucha Margarita, the Bloody Maria, and the refreshing Acai Spearmint Mezcalita with acai berries and spearmint agave. Can you think of a better way to end a hearty Mexican brunch?
