Get a taste of the world's hottest celebrity chef's British European creations at Bread Street Kitchen at Marina Bay Sands
After months of anticipation, we were super stoked to hear that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen was officially open for business earlier in June. A fab addition to Marina Bay Sands’ (already) stellar line-up of award-winning restaurants, Bread Street Kitchen serves up British European fare with a spot of local flavour.
Staying true to the brand’s London flagship, Bread Street Kitchen showcases a slew of signatures, including the BSK Burger (which has melted Monterey Jack cheese and spicy sriracha mayo, $26), shepherd’s pie with braised lamb ($38), and the traditional fish and chips with tartar sauce ($26).
We sampled a handful of starters and we’re glad to say there were no misses. Both the sea bass fillet carpaccio with avocado puree ($21) and the roasted veal carpaccio with quail’s egg and tuna dressing ($26) were incredibly light and so very refreshing, but the hot starter of flatbread with butternut squash, Taleggio cheese, mushrooms, and basil pesto ($20) really got taste buds tingling with delight. The latter was comfort food brought to a whole new level.
Signature creations aside, one main that really stood out was the buttery roasted black cod with crushed potatoes and salted capers ($44) – an excellent choice if you want something a little more “underrated”. If you love mac and cheese, don’t forget to order the side of macaroni cheese with garlic roasted crumbs ($16). Great mix of textures, and the addition of garlic roasted crumbs – pure genius!
Make room for desserts because options like chocolate fondant ($20), banana sticky toffee pudding ($18, comes with muscovado caramel and clotted cream), and the unique Monkey Shoulder Cranachan cheesecake ($18) are worth the calories.
