Surf through a mouthwatering spread of the freshest catch at this celebrity chef French seafood restaurant by award-winning chef, Daniel Boulud
Dining at Marina Bay Sands is undoubtedly a real ‘treat yo’self’ affair, especially if you’re tucking into a meal at one of their famed celebrity chef restaurants. For fans of seafood, there really is only one place to go, and that is db Bistro & Oyster Bar. Conveniently located across the Mastercard Theatres, crowds flock to this French-style resto for its fresh seafood at the oyster bar, and a reliable variety of bistro classics.
The restaurant is offering back-to-back promos on their surf and turf menu over the next two months, and this June, they’re serving up fresh lobster prepared in your preferred style from only $65++. Come July, diners can order a trio of ceviches at $25++ – the choices include nine different types of marinated fresh seafood, such as Alaskan king crab in spicy tomato and horseradish, and hamachi with leche de tigre and coconut. If you simply can’t go without your meats, then hold out for their ‘surf and turf’ promotion in August, where you’ll have the option of topping up with a selection of seafood for any steak ordered. Boston lobster tail (from $15), Alaskan king crab (from $25) and jumbo diver scallops (from $29) are just some tantalising extras available. Want the best of both worlds? You’ve got it.

Looking for more bang for your buck? You’ll be glad to know that db Bistro gets a supply of fresh and sustainably-sourced fish from New Zealand every week, and as these are wild-caught produce, the variety of fish differs with each shipment. On any given day, they may receive catch like blue cod, snapper or Bigeye tuna. You also can’t miss out on checking out the restaurant’s elevated take on crowd pleasers that’ll have you drooling in a New York minute. Tuck into comforting highlights ranging from steak frites, bouillabaisse and herb roasted chicken, to French onion soup and Maine lobster roll.
Don’t forget to end your feast on a sweet note – save some room for desserts by db Bistro’s executive pastry chef Mandy Pan, and then order the warm madeleines to go. We recommend kicking back with a glass of wine (the restaurant’s wine list was awarded Wine Spectator’s 2015 Best of Award of Excellence) or a cocktail from the bar, too. A fine meal deserves a celebratory toast after all!
