This boat party is back for another edition on 1 September, featuring dance music that goes on all the way ’til sunrise
While there’s no shortage of clubs in Singapore, it’s always a thrill when parties pop up in the unlikeliest of places – a Mississippi riverboat that Huckleberry Finn would hop on, for instance. But this isn’t fiction; the party crew behind The Council have teamed up once again with Bandwagon for another boat party that chugs on ’til sunrise. While the throwback vessel will remain anchored at Marina South Pier – good news if you’re easily seasick – there are plenty of reasons for you to keep offshore.
Happening on 1 September, this floating party welcomes dance music fans back on board – the last edition witnessed over 400 punters in attendance – for hours of house and techno. Aside from having two of its decks graced by Singapore-based selectors, Adrian Wee, Amber Ha, CATS ON CRACK, Julien Brochard, Satish K and Shane O’Neill; this party also ropes in extra star power from abroad, Troja from India, Jonathan Kusuma from Indonesia, and Tony Blunt from Spain. Trust us: with a soundtrack this solid, catching the sunrise will make you shed a tear.
Like past instalments, there will be nosh provided by Santa Fe Tex-Mex Grill – fries, nachos, and chicken poppers sound absolutely perfect for the munchies. And if you’re going to be staying up for first light, breakfast – and some cruising beats – sounds like a fantastic idea.
