Of course, the Honeycombers team are huge fans of our little red dot – why else would we want first dibs on the best things to do here? These are some of our favourite things:
“Singapore is an amazing place to live with a family – it’s safe, has great transport options, vibrant cultural activities, and has endless opportunities to eat delicious things. It’s hard to imagine a better place to raise young children while also managing to have a life. Cheers to Singapore!” – Kate Reynolds, Senior accounts director
“One of my favourite things about this city, is that it’s become a playground for bartenders and restaurant enthusiasts. Singapore demands a sense of adventure and people are keen to get a taste of whatever we’ve got to offer. There’s always something exciting happening, whether it’s a street party, a dining event or pool party, people are never short of entertainment.” – Ana Perova, Account and events manager
“I love love love Singapore’s food and drinks scene: it’s an exciting place to be if you’re a food lover. The old-school faves are so comforting, of course: I’m all about hitting the hawker centres for an oyster omelette and indulging in chilli crab at East Coast Seafood Centre (gotta have loads of mantou to soak up the sauce). But there’s also a new wave of restaurants doing some really exciting things with mod-Asian cuisine (I love Birds of a Feather and Ding Dong), and mixologists serving up spectacular drinks at fantastic bars (Employees Only is a guaranteed awesome night out). There’s a lot of talent here, and always somewhere new to indulge in Singapore. I say this city is one huge sensory treat!” – Selina Altomonte, Honeycombers editor
“I love so many things about Singapore, but I think the best thing of all for me (and as an Australian used to living at the end of the world), is its easy access to so many amazing travel destinations. Weekends in Vietnam, Bali and Thailand, and longer stays in places like Myanmar and Sri Lanka sit firmly at the top of my list.” – Lindene Cleary, Honeykids editor
“My favorite thing about Singapore is the local kopi. It’s strong, cheap, and easy to find. As someone who loves her coffee, I’d have to say that the local brew is better than a cuppa from a hipster cafe!” – Jana Blanco, Creative services writer
Inspired? It’s time to check out the survey here (and really, who doesn’t want a free vacay?)
