See caricatures of familiar Singaporean characters with a side of crude humour - leave the kids at home!
When it comes to inside jokes, we share a lot of them living in Singapore. Memes and endless puns about authoritative figures in the spotlight – and now, art. Specifically, art that exclusively pokes fun at people and incidents that make the news and, in turn, make up the things we talk about in the country.
Thanks to Citizen Dan, from the art collective, The Good Citizen, you can now browse through all this controversial art work in one place until 3 September, at the polarising, profane art exhibition, Singawhore, happening at ARTBLOVK Gallery.
And if you need some idea about what he does and where you might have seen his art, check it out at the gallery, or browse through some snippets here.
It might make you laugh, or choke on your drink, or perhaps for the more conservative, cluck your tongue in disdain. Whatever it does keep an open mind!
Singawhore, 11 Aug – 3 Sep, Artblovk Gallery, 195 Pearl’s Hill Terrace, #03-05, Singapore 168976
