Best wedding dinner venues
Planning a wedding dinner is the stuff of nightmares. You want something under the stars; the ‘rents (or worse, mother-in-law) need that hotel dinner. From the best dancefloors and biggest halls to the most pampering bridal packages – we’ve found something to make everyone happy.
The BIG Wedding
The Island Ballroom at Shangri-La can hold up to 1,000 guests. Even if you’re not going to have that many guests, imagine the amount of space you’ll have for a great dance party! Prices start at $1,288 per table.

Marina Bay Sands has a variety of venues for your wedding dinner, but for a big dinner – and we mean 4,000 people big – look to The Sands Grand Ballroom. Prices start at $1,288 per table. As a special treat, couples with more than 40 tables get to choose from a variety of “wishes”. Options include a complimentary second night in the bridal suite and even a complimentary couples massage. Now that’s a tough choice.
Marina Bay Sands, 2 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956. p. 6688 3138
The Luxe Wedding
Wedding stress? Not at Capella. Pamper yourself before dinner at the luxurious bridal lounge, just across Capella’s grand ballroom. Picture soft, fluffy chairs to sink into and full-length mirrors to perfect your make-up. On top of that, brides get a 20% discount at Auriga spa the day before their wedding! Prices start at $1,388 to $1,688 per table.

The Ethical Wedding
Here’s why we give the centrally located The Fairmont Singapore our stamp of approval: they were the first hotel in Singapore to stop serving shark’s fin soup. Their all-inclusive wedding packages include everything from ice sculptures and a five-tier wedding cake to floral centerpieces and guaranteed parking for guests.

The Outdoor Wedding
Of course we love outdoor weddings, but the tropical heat and humidity does put a dampener on things. The perfect solution? Gardens by the Bay. The Flower Field Hall is in the heart of the Flower Dome and boy is it pretty! The hall is up for rental at $16,050 for a full day, and can hold up to 60 tables. Food wise, you’re given a variety of partner restaurants like Pollen, Goodwood Park Hotel, and the The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.

If you choose greenery over mugginess, The Hort Lawn is the venue you need. It’s large enough for 50 tables and is available for rental at only $500 for half a day. We suggest putting up a marquee with fans to protect your guests from the cloying humidity! The downside here is that you have to hire the caterers on your own.

The Intimate Wedding
The Swissotel promises stunning views of the Singapore skyline from the dining room of the Equinox. At $1,588 per table, 180 of your closest friends and family could be having dinner on the 69th floor of one of Singapore’s tallest hotels for your big day!
Swissotel the Stamford, 2 Stamford Road, Singapore 178882, p. 6431 5130
Changi Cove might be a little out of the way, but it’s a small price to pay for the wonderful atmosphere. It’s almost like escaping to your own private island, perfect for an intimate party of just 60 people. Get solemnized outdoors and bring your guests into the colonial-style Command House for dinner.

The tranquil environment and historical charm of Alkaff Mansion adds to the romance of your wedding. They have a variety of venues for you to choose from, but if you’re gunning for an intimate space then opt for the terrace, which seats just 60 guests. If you’re looking for a larger area with the romance of the lush greenery, try the Grand Marquee, which fits 400 people.
