PasarBella Opens 4 May 2013
It’s finally happening – the much-anticipated PasarBella at The Grandstand is finally opening!
Come next Saturday, 4 May 2013, PasarBella and its current tenant list of over 20 stalls will be throwing open their doors for business at 930am. The rest of the stalls are slated to open in June 2013.
If you’re thinking, but aren’t there already people there? Well yes – some stalls are currently undergoing a dry run, so there’s some action happening – but not the full scope.
So who’s opening shop? We’ve got the full list. There will be fresh produce purveyors, gourmet food retailers, ready-to-go food vendors, and complementary stalls.
Get your groceries at Oceans of Seafood (#02-K2 to 11); Tangy Tangerines (#02-K48 & 79), which carries a wide range of fresh fruit; SG Organic (#02-K50 & 81), an already established organic grocer that brings in Australian Certified Organic produce; The Organic Grocer (#02-K54 to 56) with over 1000 organic and natural products from fresh food to household products; Straits Organic (#02-K64) for your organic, biodynamic wines, juices, and artisanal spirits; Merchants (#02-K43 & 44), which stocks award-winning wines vino over 30 different regions; Huber’s Deli (#02-K20 & 21) has your week’s meats covered with their no-MSG picks; and Caria (#02-K69), a one-stop shop for all your spices.
Once you’re all stocked up, take a break and have a drink. Bukit Timah residents – there’s now great coffee at Dutch Colony Coffee Co. (#02-K67 & 68). Don’t do coffee? There’s also tea at The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. (#02-K66), which will give adventurous tea drinks a run for their money – make sure to try the Teh Tarik. Boozing has never been so educational – until The Great Beer Experiment (#02-K46) popped up. Knock back new and limited-edition globally craft beers, or partake in the Food & Beer Pairing Trails.
Feeling hungry? Gourmet nosh is at your fingertips. Five & Spice Kitchen (#02-K33) is a take-out deli and eat-in tasting kitchen featuring a rotating menu of Asian and Western small plates and dishes. For a rainy day, hit up Maru Shabu (#02-K16 to 19), one of the few hotpot restaurants in Singers to offer organic vegetables alongside premium Wagyu beef and quality seafood harvested from local fisheries. Da Paolo Gastronomia (#02-K30 to 32) has set up shop, alongside other known faves like SaladStop! (#02-K36) and Seventh Heaven Artisanal Desserts (#02-K61).
Nibbles by Rabbit Carrot Gun’s (#02-K59) got your English fare sorted out – find homemade pies, Scotch eggs, quiches, hand-tied sandwiches, scones, traditional cakes, and seasonal classics. Le Patio (#02-K27) captures the essence of old Europe with its paella and French crepes, while fromage fans will have a field day at The Cheese Ark (#02-K28), which offers rare cheese that are on the brink of extinction. French pastries will be available at Bonheur Patisserie (#02-K63), but if you have kids, head to Bitesize Monster (#02-K35) for its homey, kid-friendly menu and ambience.
Kids aren’t forgotten at PasarBella. Need party supplies? Check out Balloon Blasters (#02-K70). Or get the littlies looking presentable at Poika & Tytar (#02-K77), who offer salon experience in an interactive environment with train, automobile, and airplane chairs, all equipped with televisions.
