Our kids were just complaining the other day that Angelina Jolie’s kids got to go to LEGOLAND in Germany and it was so unfair (… blah, blah, blah).
But now we can all live like the Jolie-Pitts as LEGOLAND is opening in Malaysia later this year!
LEGOLAND is set to open in the last quarter of 2012 in Iskandar Malaysia. It is not going to be too far from the Tuas exit, just a 45 minute drive from the CBD of Singapore.
Over 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions for the theme park are currently being fabricated for Iskandar Malaysia. The team behind Legoland are busy creating the 15,000 LEGOLAND model structures at the Model Building Centre for LEGOLAND Malaysia.
Nearly all of the rides are hands-on, so you can push, pull, pedal, program, steer, squirt, splash, crawl, climb and yes – build your way through a full day of non-stop fun.
The park is divided up into seven themed areas. Each theme area is designed to ensure that heroes of all ages will find much to explore and enjoy at the LEGO experiment centres, roller coasters, water attractions and shows. The whole family can thus embark on a day-long voyage of discovery and adventure.
The centrepiece of the park is MINILAND. Here, on a scale of 1:20, famous Asian towns and landscapes have been recreated from over 25 million LEGO bricks, with loving attention to detail. To make MINILAND as realistic as possible, people, animals, cars, ships, trains and aeroplanes can be moved at the touch of a button – together with the appropriate background noises.
And here’s the scoop – right now LEGOLAND have released a special promotion on their annual pass. It will be valid for 15 months and only costs 195RM – about the same amount as one visit!
So make like a busy LEGO construction man – and get busy buying tickets!
