From pop superstars to indie bands, dance music festivals and underground DJ sets, here are all the upcoming concerts in Jakarta we’re looking forward to in 2018 (so far!)
Liam Gallagher: Sun., 14 Jan at Ecovention Hall, Ancol
The former Oasis and Beady Eye front-man was supposed to make Jakarta the first stop on his Asian tour, but Liam Gallagher’s concert was postponed until 2018 instead. The musical legend released his first solo album “As You Were,” so expect to hear songs off the album as well as a few Oasis hits.

Homeshake: Fri., 19 Jan at Rossi Musik
Montreal artist Peter Sagar left Mac DeMarco to start releasing music as Homeshake. His sound has been described as indie pop with a R&B influence and lo-fi bedroom feel. Catch up on Homeshake’s recently released third album, “Fresh Air,” before you catch his debut concert at Rossi Musik.

Love the hauntingly beautiful moody sounds of The xx? You’re not alone. Our prayers have been answered as the British indie-pop trio bring their ‘I See You’ concert series to Jakarta. Can’t wait to see who will open for them.

Incubus: Wed., 7 Feb at Jiexpo Kemayoran
If you’re a 90s kid, we’re pretty sure you grew up listening to Incubus’ famous hits like “Drive”, “I Miss You” and “Talk Shows on Mute”. Relive those moments when the legendary American rock band returns for their 3rd concert in Jakarta this February at Gambir Expo at Jiexpo Kemayoran.

Sensation White: Sat., 10 Feb at ICE BSD
As a true clubber’s experience, Sensation White is one to tick off the bucket list. Despite sadly closing its doors in its home Amsterdam, the music festival is heading to Jakarta for the first time ever. Line-up includes EDM heavyweights Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Ummet Ozcan, Quintino, Lucas and Steve, McGee, and of course Sensation resident, Mr. White.

Paramore: Fri., 16 Feb at ICE BSD
After 7 years, Paramore will finally be back for their most-awaited concert in Jakarta! The rock band, who’s led by lead vocalist Hayley Williams, is slated to perform on 16 February at ICE BSD on their series of Tour Four.

Java Jazz Festival: Fri.-Sun., 2-4 Mar at Jiexpo Kemayoran
Fans of jazz will not want to miss this year’s Java Jazz, which is the 14th installment of the annual music festival. Held on 2-4 March at Jiexpo Kemayoran, the event’s line up includes international artists such as Lauv, Daniel Caesar, Avery Sunshine and JP Cooper, and Indonesian artists like Andien, Kunto Aji, Teddy Adhitya, Yura Yunita and many more.

Fifth Harmony: Mon., 12 Mar at The Kasablanka Hall
The famous American girl group, Fifth Harmony, who is famous for their hit songs “Worth It” and “Work From Home”, is set to entertain their fans in Jakarta for the first time on 12 March. The group, who won third place during the second season of the American X Factor, will hold the concert at The Kasablanka Hall as part of their PSA tour.

If you missed Lany’s first gig in Indonesia last year at We The Fest 2017, this year you’ll get the chance again to catch the solo concert of this American three-piece alternative band. Famous for “Super Far” and “ILYSB”, Lany will be back to promote their latest album on 27 March at The Pallas in SCBD.

Chainsmokers: Fri., 30 Mar at Jiexpo Kemayoran
Get ready to sing along to “Closer”, “Paris”, “Something Just Like This” and “Don’t Let Me Down” when Chainsmokers comes to town for their solo concert in Jakarta. The American duo, which consists of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart, will hold their show on 30 March at Jiexpo Kemayoran.

The Script: Tue., 10 Apr at The Kasablanka Hall
Irish rock band The Script will perform live in Jakarta on 10 April. The band, who is famous for their song “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved”, will entertain fans at The Kasablanka Hall as part of their Freedom Child Tour.

Katy Perry: Sat., 14 Apr at ICE BSD
Pop superstar Katy Perry returns to Jakarta to take her ‘Witness: The Tour’ concert tour to ICE BSD. In true Katy Perry fashion, expect an energetic multi-coloured eye-popping spectacle filled with her hits “Teenage Dream,” “Roar,” “Firework,” and latest diss-track, “Swish Swish.”

Céline Dion: Sat., 7 Jul at Sentul International Convention Center
Just when you think there’s not enough cool concerts happening in Jakarta this year, you’ll be surprised to know that the legendary Grammy-award winning singer, Céline Dion, will finally come to Jakarta for the first time! The singer of “My Heart Will Go On” is slated to perform at Sentul International Convention Center as part of Céline Dion Live 2018 Tour. Tickets will be sold starting 19 January through the concert’s official website and www.loket.com.
