Osteria Marzia to open in The Fleming, Wan Chai
For the newest restaurant from Black Sheep Restaurants – its third in 2017 – guests will be transported from the loud and busy city streets of Hong Kong to the peaceful and beautiful Italian seaside regions. Co-founders, Christopher Mark and Syed Asim Hussain, envisioned summer road trips and the picturesque drive down the Italian coast when working on their latest culinary experience.
The cuisine at Osteria Marzia is inspired by small local Italian coastal towns and the family-run osterias that pride themselves on serving the finest local specialities and wines. It is a celebration of Italian cuisine and pays homage to the nation’s cooking traditions, authentic flavours and seasonal produce.
Head Chef Luca Marinelli is set to serve a selection of fresh seafood and fish dishes that are classically prepared and served immediately off the grill, such as Turbot Pizzaiola and Branzino Aqua Pazza. Guests can enjoy Tuna Tartar with Celery, Orange and Calabrese Crumbs, or Red Prawn with Sorrento Lemon and Olive Oil that has the hint of a Mediterranean touch. Flavourful meat options are also available including Spicy Chicken Calabrese, Lombata Marzia, and Beef Sirloin Grilled with Anchovy Butter and Shallots.
With no official opening date confirmed as of yet, Osteria Marzia is scheduled to launch some time in September and is located in The Fleming, a new 66-room boutique hotel in Wan Chai.
