Local cocktail dive bar The Pontiac led by bar legend Beckaly Franks and bar manager Jen Queen is back to celebrate independence and equal rights for the world. Friends and family, it is that time of the year to get out the glitter gear, and raise the rainbows to the community.
In June 2015 same sex marriage was legalized in the United States, at the same time The Pontiac was in the throes of opening. Thus spawned the first, annual Red, White & Rainbow: a celebration of independence and equal rights. 9 years and lives later, pride is in abundance!
This year we are leaning into the 9 lives Pussy Palace realness and are encouraging everyone to dress up like their favorite feline character. Bring out your inner Cat Woman or Kinky Puss & Boots. All furry interpretations are welcome! Bring your litter and join the party from 2pm on July 2nd.
With $50 cocktails, fruity slushies and $30 dressed Modelo ice cold cans, be prepared to get feral all day long. The homies from around the hood will be in the Ponty Cafe kitchen serving some juicy plates of BBQ for charity. Cash donations from each plate of food will go towards the Pink Alliance Charity.
