And we are giving away 2x festival passes… you’re welcome!
WHAT YOU’LL WIN
Up for grabs are 2x festival passes [giving you access to the Festival’s main program for all 4 days].

UWRF EXPLAINED
So what can you expect from the festival? The Main Program includes lectures, debates and talks with various speakers from all over the world, such as celebrated authors [like Lionel Shriver and Hannah Kent], travel experts [like Lonely Planet founder Tony Wheeler], and people in the public eye who are becoming the voice for change when talking about issues we face today, like extremism, migration and feminism.
And if you want the chance to mingle with some of these incredible people, check out the Special Events schedule – you could be dining with Australia’s multi-award winning memoirist, Magda Szubanski, for instance! Other events include kick starting your day by learning some key phrases in Bahasa Indonesia over a delicious breakfast or ending your day with a whole lot of laughs as Comedian and writer, Sami Shah, takes the Festival stage at Casa Luna.
Also on the agenda over the festival period are Workshops on everything to do with writing, from the creative process of an idea, to the different genres, such as travel, surf, and poetry writing. After you have exercised your mind with an awesome workshop, why not treat your taste buds and take part in a special Indonesian cooking class from the Kitchen program with Bali food legend Janet De Neefe? There are loads of things to do to tame your inner foodie, plus activities for those keen culture vultures out there, including Batik painting, cycling tour and a visit to a local market.
As the sun draws in on a fabulous day of festivities, don’t forget to check out the After Dark schedule, including performances of music, words and animation, meet and greets with famous authors, screening of films, and the new Makers Market, where you can hunt for treasures made from local artisans.
Books, culture, kids activities, food, and all in the gorgeous cultural city of Bali… what more could we ask for! Here are our top 5 festival events not to miss:
