Sometimes all you need is a girl’s getaway with your best friends, and what better place do it than in Bali! Whether you are on the island already and need some girl time or hopping over from nearby Singapore or Australia, we have put together the perfect weekend guide for two days on the island of the Gods! Hello cocktails, pampering and incredible food. Here is our weekend itinerary for the perfect girl’s getaway.
Friday: Check In
If you are looking for a place to stay with a chic and contemporary design, your own private swimming pool, private butler, chef and driver, and a prime location in the hip ‘hood of Seminyak, Alila Seminyak is for you! Glamorous, chic and oh-so sophisticated, Alila Seminyak is a haven of breathtaking architecture, the most fabulous food, a world-class spa and endless beachfront opportunities for your holiday necessities. And to really up the tropical ante, there’s not one, but five different infinity pools here, set across multiple tiers for next-level wow-factor. Insert happy, five-star relaxed *sigh* here.
Saturday: Shop, Spa and Sunset
Today is all about shopping, spa-ing and splurging. After a big breakfast at your villa, head out to the centre of Seminyak for a spot of retail therapy. Pick up a new bikini or summer dress [for tomorrow’s activities!] from the array of boutique shops that line the busy streets. We recommend paying a visit to Bali Boat Shed, Mister Zimi and Kim Soo Hardwares, for some cute homeware trinkets to take home.
After all that walking in the sunshine, it will most definitely be time for some relaxation, and you can’t come to Bali without making use of the very reasonably priced spa treatments on offer! Head to Prana Spa for a Moroccan inspired afternoon and realign the body’s natural elements with their Ayurvedic treatments. The spa uses authentic ways of healing, relaxing and pampering, including these ayurvedic methods – traditions that have been used throughout the years by ancient royalty! And if that doesn’t float your boat, treat your body to a hot stone massage to rub those aches and pains away, a fab facial for glowing skin, or a classic Balinese treatment like the Cream Bath – for healthy, shiny hair!
Our advice after a spa treatment is to enjoy nothing more than a relaxing dinner with your friends catching up over a glass [or three] of wine. Head to the beachfront, relaxed bar at the gorgeous Alila Seminyak to enjoy a sunset drink, before heading to Sarong, one of Seminyak’s best restaurants, for a delightful dinner.
Sunday: Bali Brunching
Start your Sunday with a coffee fix by heading to trendy Sisterfields for an iced latte, and just be careful not to get food envy from those around you, as you are about to indulge in one of the best Sunday brunches on the island!
Post your wake up drink, head to Starfish Bloo at the luxe W Retreat & Spa, for a culinary journey you won’t forget in a hurry. The food selection goes on forever, with choices to appeal to all taste buds! The five-star buffet choices include the biggest array of treats from abundant seafood, babi guling, sushi and sashimi, roast and carvery stations, salad bars, roti station and grills, and we haven’t even started on the desert stations! The food combined with the killer designer pool area and stunning oceanfront location makes it one of the best ways to spend your Sunday in Bali!
The brunch is from noon – 3:30pm, leaving you with just enough time to catch some rays and relax on a day bed. Make your way to nearby Ku De Ta for a relaxing sun drenched nap or perhaps a leisurely swim in their beachfront swimming pool. What a way to end a glorious weekend in paradise!
And that’s your weekend covered! Gossip over cocktails, retail therapy, spa pampering and a indulging in world-class food… what more could you ask for?
