Can't get enough of that Sisterfields menu for breakfast, lunch and tea... you're not alone! Well lucky for us all, they're now open for delish(!) dinner from 5pm from Wed-Sunday, and with a new All-Day-Dining menu with new dishes and designer cocktails to lurve
Seminyak’s favourite cafe Sisterfields has big news – they’re now open for dinner from Wednesday to Saturdays (from 5pm), hurrah…. and, a new All-Day Menu! So not only can you enjoy that seriously legendary menu into the evening, but it now comes with new temptations such as master stock braised short rib, beetroot & goats cheese agnilotti or pan fried barramundi with cauliflower puree & more, along with new designer cocktails!
Anyone who has happily indulged in a delish breakkie or leisurely long lunch at this famous Bali institution will know it makes perfect sense to expand their opening hours from 5pm into Seminyak’s nights, as more eating time means more chance to eat everything on that menu. Sisterfields is a must-do when in Bali – a favourite catch up spot for the island’s in-crowds and travelling foodies.
With an enviable position of number two on TripAdvisor’s Restaurants in Seminyak (from more than 300), say no more, it represents the iconic café culture of Australia, bringing a love of good food and great coffee to the heart of Seminyak. Why has it gained such a cult following, we hear you ask! Very important question!
The answers include: it’s ‘Always amazing’. Good coffee. Great service and prices. Perfect location (especially with the new Seminyak Village opening any minute!). Great atmosphere. Great healthy options. And again, great coffee (let’s not underestimate how crucial this is). The list goes on. But it’s dominated by the foodie heaven part.
The Sisterfields menu was created by Executive Chef Jethro Vincent, who makes all of Sisterfields’ sauces, nut milks, ice creams and preserves in-house from scratch, as well as Sisterfields’ own buttermilk, ricotta and cultured butter that’s produced from milk delivered fresh each day from cows pastured in the paddocks of Banyuwangi Java.
So here’s a taste of their dinner options, available from 5pm onwards:
Master stock braised short rib with diakon, black radish and puffed beef tendon (pictured); Crispy skin chicken leg with soft polenta, asparagus, baby corn & chimi churi (also pictured); Pan fried barramundi with cauliflower puree, almond, cauliflower florets, curry oil Broccoli, anchovy and chilli pasta with pangratata and parmesan; Beetroot & goats cheese agnilotti with poppy seed & hazelnut burre niosette, watercress, pomegranate molasses. And don’t forget those desserts!
Breakfast options include healthy help such as acai berry bowl or coconut, mixed seed & currant muesli, if you can get past so many other temptations including smashed avocado semi-dried cherry tomatoes, popped capers, feta or truffled oyster mushrooms fried duck egg or crispy pig’s ear. And everything fabulous in between.
Or for lunch, you can go to town on their famous pulled pork charcoal roll or chicken schnitty sandwich (they’re known for bringing back traditional cooking techniques direct to your plate) or so many more gourmet options to choose from – try courgette mint feta & falafel salad or thai glazed 18hr Berkshire pork belly. Hungry, just reading about it huh?
But don’t just drool over the dinner menu, there’s desserts and cocktails to be devoured! That Banoffee magic that pairs beautifully with the Bali Sangria, while the Black Moon cocktail, with an infusion of dark raspberry liquor and full flavoured bourbon, seamlessly matches the richness of the velvety Valrhona Chocolate Tart. Sisterfields + Dinner + Dessert = Sweeeeet!
And P.S.: The new dinner offering at Sisterfields is part of the run-up to the new restaurant from the Sisterfields team, set to open at the beginning of 2016… so stay tuned!!
