Bikini Restaurant
The hottest restaurant to hit Seminyak shores has to be Bikini Restaurant – and with a tag line of #ulookhotinbikini you can see why. This concept is all about your guilty pleasures, and is the perfect place for date nights as they use the shared plate dining. We recommend trying their iconic Oyster crackers – it is an aphrodisiac after all!

Copper Kitchen & Bar
Whilst Copper Kitchen & Bar might not be new to the Ubud food scene, it has a newly appointed Executive Chef, Ben McRae, who is bringing a brand new food direction to this popular restaurant set in the heart of rice paddies with volcano views. Copper Kitchen & Bar now offers a new rotating menu, which they are calling ‘Seasonal, Earth to Table’ – whereby all the product is locally sourced from Bisma Eight’s organic farm The Gardens, Tegallalang Reserve and Amed Fisheries.

Aroy Thai Cafe & Lounge
Luxury boutique hotel, Sudamala Suites & Villas, in Sanur has revamped its poolside ‘joglo’ into an open-air restaurant serving delicious, light Thai-inspired cuisine. Relax poolside and treat your taste buds to perfectly cooked spicy prawn soup, Thai curries, and sticky rice with chicken in peanut sauce.

Eternal
Eternal restaurant is a new culinary haunt worth checking out, and is located at Ametis Villa on Batu Bolong in the popular ‘hood of Canggu. All the produce is sourced daily by the chefs themselves from the hills of Bedugul and the seafood market at Jimbaran.

Ulekan
Ulekan is a warung-style eatery with a modern twist. Firstly, the décor is outstanding – we loved the different sitting areas, the stunning tile-work on the floor, and the assortment of beautiful pots and vases. Secondly, the food. Well, this is Indonesian at its best, and the Rendang Sapi in particular was sublime. They use extremely tender beef cheek for this dish – mouth-gasmly good! We also love the fact that their coffee options are different blends from all over Indonesia.

Plantation Restaurant
Alila Ubud have just launched their new seasonal menus, making a trip to their Plantation Restaurant a new culinary adventure! With lush rainforest views from every table, the venue is a fabulous setting for a meal that is crafted around a farm-to-table concept, inspired by Bali’s rich bounty of fresh, seasonal and organic produce, including dishes like sweetcorn patties and slow-roasted chicken wrapped and smoked in a banana leaf.

Kinuwa Canggu
Towards the end of Batu Bolong, you might have noticed the new ‘Canggu Avenue’ complex which is home to a brand spanking new gym, supermarket and a couple of places to eat and drink, one of which is Kinuwa Canggu. The décor is fresh and white, the coffee is exactly what you need to start your day, and they offer a quiet place to enjoy a healthy brunch as you sit in the air con to work. Welcome to the ‘Gu Kinuwa!
