That’s why it’s uber-good news to know that now when you crave those succulent meats, alluring exotic flavours and mezze mixes of the Middle East, you don’t have to time it with a visa run. Just pop up to Petitenget to step into the new middle eastern restaurant in Bali!
Yes, Bali has been Bazaar’d. We can all now mix our tropic with exotic with this brand new, middle eastern epicurean menu at Batu Belig’s Bazaar Mezze Bar & Lounge. This beautifully designed, Arabian-influenced restaurant and bar offers the finest tastes and flavours from Morocco, Turkey and Egypt to eat, drink, sit back and lounge foodie time away in their ultra-hip Bedouin style-tented lounge bar.
Bazaar Mezze Bar & Lounge offers a broad menu of traditional dishes from the middle eastern region, such as succulent kebabs, pistachio and chilli crusted beef kofte, fire-grilled chicken plus lush, stuffed vegetables and opulent salads. Then there are the contemporary culinary treats that merge ancient recipes into a seriously fabulous array of dishes you’ll be tasting again and again over the coming weeks.
They’ve got every delish possibility covered from starting with the harissa-marinated olives, through to finishing off the meal with a shisha pipe. But what’s in between? See if this tempts you…
Graze away on signature mezze platters, made to order for two people, or more (up to 160 if you’re that popular). The traditional vege platter is divine with hummus, dolma, haloumi, olives, falafel, kasir, baba ganoush, vege shish and more delicious morsels. The mixed mezze adds mini lamb shish and beef kofta while the decadent, ocean version features calamari and prawns from the grill and Moroccan-style salmon.
And did we mention the fragrantly-herbed meats from the grill, maybe starting with delicately spiced lamb shish, kofte that is expertly balanced, or buttered fish rubbed with mouth watering eastern spices? Done and done.
But wait, there’s more. Their tastebud-tantalising range of salads embrace the light and lemony with an eastern coleslaw, traditional tastes in the fattoush and contemporary eastern sensations such as beetroot, radish and rocket salad, drizzled with cucumber and garlic infused hand strained yoghurt. Don’t miss the grilled haloumi on Arugula and mint salad.
Located in the savvy stretch from Petitenget to Batu Belig, Bazaar Mezze Bar & Lounge is the new, hot spot for upscale evenings out, casual grazing sessions with the crew or early family dinners (yes, the kiddies are expertly catered for) in the funky Arabian Nights lounge.
