Racing enthusiasts, Spring Carnival fashionistas or anyone wanting to get social for Melbourne Cup in Bali on Tuesday 3rd November 2015, it’s that time of year again – Courses for Horses, and Race Day Fashions on the Field! As the Race that Stops a Nation (and its expat-populated, island neighbour too) rolls around, plan your celebrations at any of these locations showcasing the big race, and all the fashionable festivities that go with it. And ladies, remember to pack your Havaianas for the taxi ride home to give those aching feet a break!
Bali’s Lawn Party extravaganza, The Canggu Club, Canggu
Bali’s biggest Melbourne Cup celebration? Yes, and maybe the closest you’ll get to Flemington on the island. Join 500 other punters and racing fans, for the Canggu’s Club three-course lunch on the lawn and three hours of free flow drinks in the Nicolas Feuillatte Marquee, or a Cocktail Party package.
Post race entertainment will keep the Australiana vibe live, as Australian Rock Legend, Jon Stevens (supported by Marina Sidik & New Energy) promises fun, music and dancing throughout the afternoon and into the evening. The Race Day party continues until 8pm. Gates open at 10am and free flow packages for the Nicolas Feuillatte Marquee or Cocktail Party commence from 11am.
Tickets are priced from IDR 1,000,000. All monies from auctions and sweepstakes on the day will be donated to Sole Men, an Indonesian non-profit foundation that raises awareness and provides funds to support accredited agencies and projects for the disadvantaged in Bali.
