There are a few abandoned planes here in Bali, but this one has really taken off, with a launch party that landed itself a whole lotta street cred
Think you’ve seen everything in Bali? Think again. High-Fi at Gate88 has finally landed – a futuristic and modernist pop-up club in Kerobokan, hidden inside an abandoned aeroplane. Yup, that “how-did-it-get-there?” rooftop jet has finally taken off, and the launch party didn’t disappoint.
Not your usual party experience, High-Fi at Gate88 is a pop-up that will take place on the first Saturday of every month – worth checking out if you’re hunting for something more alternative in Bali’s nightlife scene.
The first party debuted this past weekend and the plane has since been hot on the lips of every highflier on the island. Yes there were epic DJs, yes there was dancing ’til the wee hours, and yes, there was enough free flow cocktails and food from Da Maria and Babi Bagus to shake an illuminated beacon at.
So pop it into the diary for next month, and get ready for take-off!
