Ahoy! There me matey! Channel your inner Captain Hook and head to Pirates Bay Bali for some family fun! This pirate-themed open-air cafe and restaurant comprises of a replica pirate ship on the sand, tree houses, a bay lookout tower, a pirates’ kitchen and a fun host of treasure hunt activities in which you can participate as a family. Their menu includes eastern and western food, kids options, plus vegetarian delights as well.

Raja’s Balinese Cuisine
If you are looking for a five-star Balinese dining experience [in an incredibly luxurious setting!] then head to Raja’s Balinese Cuisine, located near the main pool of the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. This award-winning restaurant perfectly combines the three pinnacles of Balinese cooking – taste, colour and texture – believe us when we say the menu will not leave you disappointed. We highly recommend their signature dish, Bebek Betutu. This is a whole duck which has been marinated in a secret blend of sixteen Balinese spices, and slow-cooked in aromatic palm-leaf wrappings [yes, sixteen spices!].

If you lovvvve crispy duck, this is the restaurant for you! Bebek Bengil, one of the most notable restaurants in Ubud, has branched out to the shores of Nusa Dua, hooray! Its signature dish [as you can tell from the restaurant name] is crispy duck, served with steamed rice and Balinese vegetables, and it is definitely worth a try! There is lots more on the menu to satisfy any hunger pains as well, and all can be enjoyed with stunning ocean views [as it is situated in the Bay Bali dining complex].

Nusa Dua Beach Grill
If you are after a more laid-back dining venue, then head to Nusa Dua Beach Grill for some beachfront BBQ-ing! Take a break from the up-market five-star restaurants, and head to the beach to ‘chill at the grill’. The menu, designed with the assistance of acclaimed Italian chef Roberto Bogini, offers a selection of western food, such as pizza and pasta, delicious seafood, and Indonesian options. And lets not forget the tasty cocktails of course! What’s not to love about this family run restaurant on the beach.

The minute you step into the Remède Spa at The St. Regis Bali Resort you will feel a sense of relaxation, helped by the soft lighting moon and butterfly themed décor. Try their firming oxygen infused facial to give your sun-kissed face a boost!
Then there is The Lagoon Spa, at The Laguna, which offers a whole host of healing treatments, plus a fitness centre for those really wanting to give their body a detox! So Spa at the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Resort is also one to visit – we all know how the French love beauty, so you know you are in safe hands! We love their hour and a half So Exhilarating Massage to relax and unwind with.

BEACH BABY: Nusa Dua Beach
Nusa Dua Beach, locally referred to as Pantai Mengiat, is the main beach, and it is nothing short of picture perfect! With gorgeous white sand and clear turquoise water, it is perfect for spending the day soaking up the sun and swimming in the Indian Ocean. There is an offshore reef break a little further out where surfers head out to on a daily basis, and the waters closer to the beach are great for swimming and snorkeling.
CULTURE VULTURE: Museum Pasifika
If you are looking for a bit of culture then head to Museum Pasifika for the afternoon. It will cost you IDR 70,000 (per adult, kids under 10 years go free) to get in, and its so worth it. Spend hours traipsing round the eleven display rooms soaking up the collection of historical artifacts and cultural and artistic items from over 200 artists from 25 countries. This one is definitely for the arty fartys out there!

ANIMAL ADVENTURE: Camel Safari

SEGWAY FUN: Garuda Aurda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park
Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, [GWK], is just a 20-minute drive southwest from the main Nusa Dua hub, and is well worth a visit for some cultural fun! Now, GWK is pretty big [240ha to be exact!], so if you don’t have the energy to walk all that way why not hire out a Segway! One thing to mention is GWK boasts one of the largest artistic masterpiece and most astonishing works of arts ever created in Indonesia’s art history – so its well worth a visit!

GO GOLF: Bali National Golf Club
Formerly the Bali Golf & Country Club, the Bali National Golf Club is one for the keen golfers out there! It’s international standards can be seen in the perfect manicured golf course [designed with a Hawaiian style in mind!] and features new Pasapalum turf [we heard that’s good for a game of golf!], elevated greens, a driving range with putting green, and boasts a modern clubhouse overlooking the Indian Ocean.

SHOP ‘TILL YOU DROP: Shopping
The five-star luxury resort enclave of Nusa Dua is home to a select group of shopping locations offering fashion, art, spa products and souvenirs to take back home. Most of the lush resorts have art and fashion boutiques within them, but venture out to Bali Collection for a real shopping experience, or take a stroll down Jalan Pantai Mengiat for a street shopping experience and take a gander at the various art shops.
WET & WILD: Watersports
Nusa Dua has so many watersports to choose from! For the adrenaline junkies there is jet skiing, banana and donut boat rides, water-skiing, wake boarding, fish flying and parasailing. Fully immerse yourself in the water and experience the ocean by swimming, snorkeling or surfing, and if you don’t fancy getting wet take a trip on a glass bottom boat and discover the beautiful marine life that way.

JUST KEEP SWIMMING: Pandawa Beach
As you drive towards Pandawa Beach you will be in awe of the stunning white limestone cliffs, and as you go down the big slope you will see deeply carved arches installed with large statues, each depicting a hero from the Mahabharata epic, the ‘five Pandawas’, hence the name of the beach. Just stunning. Once at the beach, spend hours swimming in the clear turquoise water, or laze on the sunbeds on the beach, and sip on a Bintang from the local restaurants that line the beach.
